In the German group, Sweden gave the Polish a chance. This also has an impact on the DFB women.
The national team of Sweden clearly won the second preliminary round game in Group C 3-0 against Poland. This means not only Sweden in the quarter -finals, but also Germany. In Lucerne in Switzerland, the Scandinavians did not give their opponents a chance, Sweden was the clearly superior team over the entire distance.
The Swedes made absolutely fair their favorite role. Striker Stina Blackstenius scored 1-0 (28th) for the high -superior Scandinavians. Already in the first half, Sweden left a number of good chances for further hits.
After the change of sides, Kosovare then increased Asllani to 2-0 (52nd) and made the preliminary decision. Both hits were header from the right to flanks. The 3-0 by Lina Hurtig (77th) after a corner also fell in the head.
The starstriter Ewa Pajor from FC Barcelona was largely deregistered by the Poles, similar to the opening game against Germany. For the team of trainer Nina Patalon, the third round of preliminary round against Denmark is now only about a conciliatory EM conclusion.
However, the final group game of the DFB team against Sweden is still about the group victory. Due to the high victory against Poland, the Scandinavians have now passed Germany and lead the group. That is why Germany must win the game in order to complete the preliminary round in first place.
