“Thank you for your generosity”: Johnny Depp donates $800,000 to a series of charities | celebrities

celebritiesJohnny Depp (59) was clearly in a generous mood last week. The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ actor donated a lot of money to a total of four different charities. One of the charities is also linked to his ex-wife Amber Heard (36).

The American actor donated a nice amount to the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation, the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, the Footprint Coalition and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. So these are charities from all over the world that are committed to children and young people. In total, Johnny Depp donated about 800,000 dollars (786,000 euros). The money was raised through the sale of some NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens).

Big impact

In the past, Amber Heard, the actor’s ex-wife, has also been linked to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. During the much-discussed lawsuit between the couple, it became known that the ‘Aquaman’ actress had not donated money to the charity. Heard had promised that she would donate the money from her divorce from Johnny Depp, about 7 million dollars, to the children’s hospital. During the trial, the actress tried to justify the facts. According to the actress, her legal costs had become too great, under which she did not have enough money to make a donation.

On Wednesday, Never Fear Truth, an organization of Johnny Depp, announced that they had donated a nice amount to the charities in question. “We are extremely grateful to this community for this donation and we look forward to building on this success and making an even greater impact in the future.” Not much later, the Perth Children’s Hospital also thanked the organization. They wrote the following: “Thank you so much for your generosity. These funds will have a significant impact.”
