President Mehmet Büyükekşi held a press conference with 1st Vice President İbrahim Burkay and 2nd Vice President Yalçın Orhan. Stating that they said they would make structural changes in football when they took office and that Football Academies are the most vivid example of this, Mehmet Büyükekşi continued his words as follows:
“We are the country with the youngest population in Europe. We train coaches who will train our young children through Football Academies. We aim to produce world stars from these children. We want to create a large player pool of quality and talented players for our national teams. In order to provide this training in the best way, we all We made an agreement with the Double Pass company, which stands out with its success in the world. Our training has been continuing since April. Exactly 220 coaches are receiving training. TFF pays the entire salaries of these coaches. We have now introduced an academy obligation to the Super League. 6-19 year olds from every Super League club We will train a total of 11 coaches for one year. Next year, we will impose an academy obligation on the 1st League. Our goal is to establish 40 academies at European standards. While doing these, we tried to prevent any additional costs for our clubs. We received the support of our state officials. The law was changed. Now our clubs They can use withholding tax refunds in their infrastructure. Intention is the biggest spark. We ignited this spark. For now, we are happy to implement all of these in a short time. We will be proud when our football players, who came from the youth backgrounds, become world-class stars. Noting that they have made a very important cooperation with the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Youth and Sports in order to make history in Turkish football, Mehmet Büyükekşi said, “We signed the Football Development Project Cooperation Protocol. In order to become a well-equipped football player, he needs to start his academy training at the ages of 6-9. With this cooperation, we will provide training to classroom teachers in primary schools and physical education teachers in secondary schools. For the first time in our history, we will host the European Football Championship, one of the largest sports organizations in the world. Reaching this honor on the 100th anniversary of our Republic was a source of pride for us. With our modern stadiums, strong infrastructure, transportation network and accommodation diversity, European Football Championship We are ready to organize the Championship in every sense. We will organize this championship successfully with our unique nature, our deep-rooted and rich history and our people’s love and interest in football. Hosting EURO 2032 will make great contributions to our country in terms of sports. But also economically and culturally. The 2032 European Football Championship will be equally distributed between the two countries. Candidate cities will be finalized in host countries by 2026. It will be determined where the qualifying group and final tournament draws will be held. It will be decided where the opening and final matches will be played.
