“Terrorist” drives into people waiting at the bus stop: child (6) and twenty-something die in Jerusalem | Abroad

A car plowed into a crowd of people in East Jerusalem near an Israeli settlement. A six-year-old child and a man in his twenties were killed. At least five people were also injured. That is what aid organization Magen David Adom, the Israeli equivalent of the Red Cross, says.

Israeli police say it was a terrorist attack. It happened at a bus stop. The suspected perpetrator was “neutralized”, it is still unclear whether he was killed.

A spokesman for the radical Palestinian organization Hamas said the attack is a “natural response to all the crimes of the occupation against the Palestinian people.” He was referring to an Israeli army raid in the city of Jericho that killed five members of Hamas.
