Norwegian Aleksander Aamodt Kilde crashed out violently in the Alpine Skiing World Cup downhill competition in Wengen, Switzerland.

Kilde, 31, was already at the last gate of the track when he drove into the nets at a really high speed and flew violently onto the surface of the snow.

According to Kalle Palander, Yle’s expert, Kilde came to the last gate at a speed of over one hundred kilometers per hour.

Kilde is dating the American women’s alpine skiing superstar Mikaela Shiffrin. Kilde has won Olympic silver and bronze in his career. He has also won two World Championship silver medals, one of which came in the downhill.
