Tennis player Ruud loses Seoul quarterfinals to Japanese Nishioka

Tennis player Casper Ruud, the number 2 in the world, lost to Yoshihito Nishioka in the quarterfinals of the ATP tournament in Seoul. The 27-year-old Japanese, the global number 56, was too strong for the Norwegian with 6-2 3-6 6-2.

23-year-old Ruud previously secured participation in the ATP Finals in Seoul, which will take place in Turin from 13 to 20 November. Ruud is this year’s losing finalist of Roland Garros and the US Open. He lost both finals to a Spaniard; in Paris by Rafael Nadal and in New York by Carlos Alcaraz, who became the new number 1 in the world as a result.
