Tenacious D, the rock duo made up of Jack Black and Kyle Gass, have gone viral with a clip of their cover of Britney Spears’ “…Baby One More Time.” The video quickly generated more than 50 million views on TikTok.

Black brought the protagonist, Panda Po Ping, to life with his voice in all of the Kung Fu Panda animated films. Now he and his Tenacious D bandmate Gass have also conquered the end credits of the fourth part of the animated film series and covered the legendary Britney Spears song.
“I said, ‘Can we do Britney Spears?’ And [Regisseur Mike Mitchell] said, ‘Yes,'” the actor said at the film’s premiere, People reported. “And he said he wanted ‘…Baby One More Time’ because it’s kind of like kung fu,” the actor and singer continued.

Black and Gass’ social media clip has also received over three million likes on Instagram. The video shows the duo dancing and singing along to their own version of “…Baby One More Time.”
Jack Black wants to work with Britney Spears
When asked by Entertainment Tonight at the premiere if he had a message for Spears after the viral social media clip, Black said, “Britney, if you’re watching, I love you. I love the song… We’re very proud of our version and I hope you like it too.” The actor added that he would definitely be up for a collaboration with Spears: “I’m here! I’m ready when you are. I’ll wait by the phone.”
