Ten years in prison for drug lab in Lendelede

The Public Prosecution Service asked for prison sentences of up to 12 years and also hefty fines in an extensive drug file. More than twenty defendants have had to answer to the court in Bruges. More than two years ago, investigators discovered a large drug lab on a farm in Lendelede.

The key figure in the case is said to be a man in his fifties from Oudenburg. He has now been sentenced to ten years in prison.

The defendants are on trial for drug trafficking, illegal carrying of weapons and threats. The gang made the drugs in Lendelede. The investigators were also able to expose this traffic thanks to Operation Sky ECC, in which they cracked an important communication network. (Read more below the video of 8/09/2020)
