Traveler will join the selection of Telstar from Tuesday. “We are happy with the arrival of Daan, with his qualities he fits well with the game method of Telstar,” says technical manager Peter Hofstede on the Telstar website.
Telstar recently said goodbye to reserve goalkeeper Joey Houweling. He still continues to train, but was told that he can look forward to a new club. Traveler will compete with Ronald Koeman JR, who last season kept his goal no less than fifteen times.
Traveler went through the youth academy of FC Groningen and Ajax. In 2019 he debuted in professional football at Young Ajax, for which he would play nine duels. He then left for Vitesse, where he became a reserve keeper. For the past two seasons, he was mainly on the couch at SC Cambuur.
In the preparation for the Eredivisie, Telstar will practice against Rijnsburg Boys tomorrow night. The first league match is against Ajax on 10 August.
