Telstar is playing with its chest forward again after the result against the top team: “They are fresher”

The coaching duo Landvreugd & Correira is still undefeated after four matches. Telstar drew 1-1 against promotion candidate Roda JC tonight, although the team from Velsen-Zuid deserved more. “You sign for a draw in advance, but tonight a victory was really possible,” said Landvreugd.

Tim van de Loo was one of the standouts on Telstar’s side. The midfielder scored his first goal for the team against Jong Ajax last Monday White Lions and had the 2-0 on his shoe today. “I received it nicely from Christos Giousis. I tried to put it in the far corner, but unfortunately it was a good save from the keeper.”

With eight points from the last four games, the feeling is nevertheless good within the Landvreugd selection. “It is the details that make the difference. We also train a little differently. The boys are fresher in the head and run a little faster. They also play more functionally and we insist that they must continue to put in the work,” says Landvreugd.

Telstar will play its next match on Friday, March 8. Then the current number 17 of the first division visits FC Dordrecht, which is in fourth place.
