In the second round of the KNVB Cup, Telstar will play against FC Twente tomorrow. “We are going to Enschede to continue to the next round”, defender Yahya Boussakou is clear.
Trainer Mike Snoei also believes in a stunt. “Twente is suddenly participating in the championship. They are very busy with the match against Ajax next Saturday. And then the annoying Telstar comes in between. We should not make a school trip and sell our skin dearly”, Snoei looks ahead.
Lost on Friday The White Lions still with 2-1 from TOP Oss. They did that without Tom Overtoom. The midfielder has recovered from the flu and will play in Enschede tomorrow. Defender Jay Kruiver also joins the match selection. Striker David Min is still a doubtful case. The cup match is still too early for striker Koen Blommestijn.
Keeper Groothuizen leaves
Keeper Indy Groothuizen leaves Telstar. He trained with Telstar in recent months, but is leaving for AB Copenhagen. The Danish club plays at the third level of Copenhagen. “I would have liked to have kept him at Telstar. He had to show some more fitness, but he got an offer. You always run that risk. He received an offer from a third division club. You can question that, but I can’t look in his wallet,” said Snoei.
Snoei indicates that Telstar will not be looking for an extra keeper this transfer window.
