De Telegraaf does not let go and has taken to the streets to interrogate people about those discovered slippers from Bas Smit. “What I would give for it? Ehh, 6 euros!”, A girl shouts.
After that entire cola debacle you wonder who is still kicking in the talks of Bas Smit. If he is waving with a few slippers, then you mainly know that his next vacation to Marbella has already been paid. De Telegraaf warns people not to kick in and that the Happyflops that he promotes just come from Temu.
Never never
De Telegraaf now comes with a follow-up after their controversial article, because a video has appeared (see below) in which the newspaper speaks with journalist Jeroen Kortschot and with people on the street.
There are also bad reviews from Tiktokkers, such as Chayron. He says on Tiktok: “Bas Smit says he has put all his crocs away for these things. I would never Never do it! ”
Temu-slippers
One Maggy shows her Temu slippers, which look exactly like those Happyflops from Bas Smit. “Well, these are just from Temu. You can just bend it. This is 3 euros. Can someone tell me what the difference is with the real Happyflops and this one?”
If the newspaper asks a girl what she would give for those slippers from Bas Smit, she shouts: “6 euros.”
Exactly the amount for which you can buy two pairs at Temu. And with that of Bas, his committee has not even been settled.
Chinese product
Telegraaf journalist Jeroen Kortschot points out that Bas takes the people in the Ootje. “It’s just a dropship product. It’s just a Chinese slipper. There is nothing wrong with that, if you want to walk on it for two weeks and then throw it away. Great. But it’s not a quality product from Scandinavia.”
He concludes: “You should not rely too much on what influencers all claim.”
