A shot putter Teijo Köpikkä is the new holder of the European record for para athletes.
Kööpikka pushed the winning score of 15.15 in the Pajulahti indoor championships. For that he clearly violated the previous EE. The previous top score in Europe was by a Pole Janusz Rokickin 14.92 from 2015.
The Finn’s own and at the same time the Finnish record improved by no less than 35 cents.
Kööpikka competes in para-athletes’ category 57. He has two bronze medals from the Para-athletic World Championships.
