Teenage girls from Ichtegem tour with lecture about mental health

Kyara and Alexine wrote the book ‘Viewless’. They wanted to break taboos, such as self-mutilation. But via Instagram they were looking for other themes that young people want to discuss.

Themes in catchy story

“In any case about conversations with psychologists. We think that people should not be ashamed about this and should not be afraid to tell those around them,” they say. “We also want to highlight uncertainty because that should be discussed.” The themes were then incorporated into a gripping story. This morning Kyara Becue and Alexine Drappier were guests at the Sint-Godelievecollege in Eernegem. That has been working for years on mental health at school. They thought it was a good idea to invite the young authors.
