Taylor Swift: “The Eras Tour” concert film to stream on Disney+

The film will be available on Disney+ from mid-March, even with some extra tracks.

Taylor Swift’s concert film The Eras Tour will be available to stream via Disney+ starting March 15th. Anyone who already knows the work from the cinema or in the video-on-demand version should still take a second look, because in addition to the already familiar part, the track “Cardigan” and four acoustic songs can now be heard and seen in a new way.

Disney CEO Bob Iger told The Hollywood Reporter about the release on the streaming service: “The Eras Tour is a true phenomenon that has thrilled and continues to delight fans around the world. We are thrilled to premiere this electrifying concert exclusively on Disney+.”

The “The Eras Tour” concert film expansion planned for Disney+ is not the first. There was already another version in December 2023 that contained songs like “The Archer,” “Long Live” and “Wildest Dreams.” This version was then streamable on platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, Xfinity, Vudu, Google Play, YouTubeTV and SkyTV.

Already a cinema record

“Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” opened in theaters in October 2023 with box office receipts of $92.8 million, making it the highest-grossing concert film in history after just one weekend.

The “Eras Tour” film was shot during Swift’s first three gigs at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, where she performed six concerts in early August 2023. It was directed by Sam Wrench, who received a Grammy nomination in the Best Musical Film category late last year for directing Billie Eilish Live at the O2.
