Taylor Swift helped Stevie Nicks process Christine McVie’s death

Swift’s “You’re On Your Own Kid” was the song that gave the Fleetwood Mac singer special support.

Stevie Nicks thanked Taylor Swift for performing the song at a show in Atlanta on Monday (May 22). “You’re On Your Own, Kid” from the album MIDNIGHTS (2022). He helped the 74-year-old deal with the loss of her late Fleetwood Mac colleague Christine McVie. The song describes the sadness she feels, Nicks said during the gig.

“Even when we were on the other side of the world, we didn’t have to use the phone – we weren’t really phone buddies. Then we went back to Fleetwood Mac and it was like, “Hey sister, how are you?” It was like a minute had never passed. We haven’t argued once in our entire 47 years together,” she continued.

Christine McVie passed away on November 30, 2022 at the age of 79 from an ischemic stroke.

Stevie Nicks is up until December 2023 North America Tour. Five of the shows will be co-located with Billy Joel. Taylor Swift is currently on her “The Eras Tour” in North America.
