Taylor Swift doesn’t find Golden Globes gag at her expense funny

Her reaction to presenter Jo Koy’s joke: an iron face.

At this year’s Golden Globes on January 7th, some of comedian and host Jo Koy’s jokes weren’t well received. Including: a swipe at Taylor Swift. She herself probably didn’t find the reference to her attendance at NFL games that funny and reacted with an iron face.

While the stand-up comedian made his joke, he had to laugh himself. “The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL,” he began, continuing, “At the Golden Globes we have fewer camera angles of Taylor Swift… There’s just more to see here.”

The 34-year-old has often attended Kansas City Chiefs football games in recent months to support her boyfriend, player Travis Kelce. She was filmed more often and her reactions during the games became headlines.

But the pop star was far from laughing after Koy’s words. When the camera panned to her in the moment after the gag, Swift was initially only seen sitting in her seat with her lips pressed together, then she took a sip from her glass.

Her reaction to the joke subsequently led to numerous comments from fans on social media. For example, British reporter Piers Morgan commented on X: “If Taylor Swift’s looks could actually kill, Jo Koy would be dead now.”

Swift was nominated for her concert film “The Eras Tour” at the Golden Globes in the new “Cinematic and Box Office Achievement” category. In the end, Greta Gerwig was able to take home the prize for her directing work “Barbie”.
