The year 2023 has undoubtedly been a triumphant year for Taylor Swift. The start of the new year couldn’t be better. The 34-year-old singer has set another record previously held by Elvis Presley. As a solo artist, she spent most weeks at number one on the US album charts.
With her album 1989 (TAYLOR’S VERSION), the “Anti-Hero” singer reached the top of the Billboard album charts for the fifth time in the last week of 2023, spending a total of 68 weeks at number one. That beats Elvis Presley’s 67 weeks for albums from 1956 to 2002.

Although Swift now holds the record as a solo artist, she’s not (yet) at the top when it comes to overall rankings. The Beatles are at number one. Their albums spent 132 weeks at the top of the Billboard album charts.
Uncountable records for Taylor Swift
In addition to this success, the musician also holds the record for the most consecutive number 1 albums with 13 in total. This is a result of their decision to re-record all of their previous albums and release them with the addition of “(Taylor’s Version)”. In July last year, Swift also surpassed Barbra Streisand to release the most No. 1 albums in the US. She is also the sixth artist with more than ten No. 1 albums on the Billboard Hot 200 list, which has been published regularly since 1956. Swift is joining her male colleagues. For example, the Beatles, who are at the top with 19 No. 1 albums. Also ahead of her: Jay-Z with 14 records. She is also the first artist to have five albums simultaneously in the top 10 of the charts during her lifetime.
Her ongoing “The Eras Tour” is also breaking records. With the concert film for the tour, which opened in cinemas on October 11, 2023, she broke the record for the highest-grossing opening weekend for a concert film. This year Swift is also coming to Germany with her tour.
