In memory of Taylor Hawkins, who died in 2022 – a look at his band favorites of the Foo Fighters:
At the age of 25, Taylor Hawkins came to the Foo Fighters. When he was in his life in a studio for the first time in his life for “there is nothing left to loose” (1999), the atmosphere overwhelmed him. On March 20, the Foo Fighters performed in the Argentine Buenos Aires at the Lollapalooza Festival. It should be the band’s last show with Taylor Hawkins. The drummer died on March 25, 2022 – he was found lifeless in his hotel room in Bogotá (Colombia). The unique band dynamics that fans of the Foo Fighters loved so can be seen in a video recording from the last appearance.
Taylor Hawkins and Dave Grohl regularly exchanged the places in recent years for some songs. The drummer then played queen hits like “Somebody to Love”. So also at the show, which should be one of her last moments together on stage. First, the two give themselves a warm hug, then Taylor explains: “I love Dave Grohl. I would deliver pizzas if he didn’t exist. I would work in the lash of a music shop if he wasn’t. Do you want to listen to it?”
