Tennis ace Tatjana Maria has recovered well from her first round failure in Wimbledon and successfully completed her opening task at the WTA tournament in Budapest.
The 35-year-old prevailed in the first round of the $260,000 event against Carole Monnet from France 3-6, 7-6 (7-5), 6-2.
The German number one now meets the winner of the duel between the Italian Fanny Stollar and Irene Burillo Escorihuela from Spain.
