The militant Islamist Taliban in power in Afghanistan have arrested a professor who has become known in the country for his open criticism of the Taliban regime. Members of the Taliban’s secret service removed Faizullah Jalal, a professor at Kabul University, from his home in the Afghan capital on Saturday. His wife, Massouda Jalal, has reported this via Facebook.
