Maximilian Paul and Marco Mapelli will also be at the start of the ADAC GT Masters in Zandvoort.

Irrespective of the fact that T3 Motorsport was not last in the DTM in Imola and Nicki Thiim parted ways with the team, the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo will start again in the German GT Championship in the Netherlands.

The reason is that the involvement in the ADAC GT Masters is separate from the team’s activities in the DTM.

Even an insolvency of T3 Motorsport, which co-founder and shareholder Stefan Jugel brought up for discussion with “Motorsport-Total.com”, would not change that much.

Commitment in the ADAC GT Masters not in jeopardy

Because the car and the workshop belong to Tobias Paul and his company Paul Motorsport, the father of driver Maximilian. A large part of the equipment also belongs to Paul Motorsport. T3 Motorsport carries out the assignments.

This means that in the event of a T3 insolvency, Paul Motorsport’s involvement in the ADAC GT Masters could continue. The team would then rename themselves. But that’s just one of several possibilities, confirms Jugel.

However, both Jugel and Tobias Paul confirm to ‘Motorsport-Total.com’ that his son and Lamborghini works driver Marco Mapelli will continue to compete in Zandvoort under the name “T3 Motorsport”. Thereafter? “We’ll see.”

The Paul family also involved in T3 Motorsport

The Paul family is also involved in T3 Motorsport. The team was founded in 2019 to enable Maximilian Paul to race. The 22-year-old and Mapelli are currently 17th overall in the ADAC GT Masters with 15 points.

Guest starts with another Lamborghini were also planned during the course of the season. It remains to be seen whether these will come about now. In any case, a Huracan is reported for Zandvoort.

Incidentally, team boss Jens Feucht has been released from the hospital and is now working part-time in the office again.
