No playback show, everything real: t-low impresses at the “REAL MUSIC TOUR” Berlin concert.
Hardly any artist has such a large musical output as the 24-year-old. In November 2025, t-low released his new album REAL MUSIC – the ninth since his debut in 2021. To promote the record, the rapper from Schleswig-Holstein also announced a tour, the “REAL MUSIC TOUR” – to the joy and surprise of his fans. Because the “Sehnsucht” interpreter has become quieter live in recent years.
His alcohol and drug problems had previously been evident in many of his live performances. Due to the high proportion of playback, the concerts were often criticized. Things should be different now. Here is the review of the Berlin show in January 2026.
Four cities, four shows – t-low on a small tour
The rapper accompanied Paula Hartmann on her tour in 2025 and supported her on the joint song “Sag was”. After these small, 30-second performances, t-low made his solo live comeback. The “REAL MUSIC TOUR”, the first since 2023, is a rather small tour: It only included four concerts in the second week of January 2026. Cologne (January 13th), Munich (January 14th), Berlin (January 16th) and Hamburg (January 17th).
The tour announcement on Instagram sparked anticipation:
Keule opens with melancholic hip hop
The evening will be opened by Keule. The newcomer is actually no longer completely new, but is now firmly established in the German hip-hop underground, but is still the opening act here. “RIP YUNG BRUH” is written on his T-shirt, an ironic reference to the end of the musical era of American rapper Jazz Ishmael Butler as Yung Bruh. He changed his stage name to Lil Tracy in 2016. Keule’s music can be easily described as melancholic hip hop. With decent bass, minimalist beats and personal content, he plays the titles from his two-page setlist stuck to the floor. His texts are linguistically light, but deal with topics that are not so easy. The Flensburg native talks about his anxiety disorder, which he has now largely overcome. “I’m not afraid anymore, just of myself,” the audience sings along, holding cell phone lights – and lighters! – into the air. It seems as if Gen Z is not only bringing vinyl back into shared rooms, but also lighters back to concerts. Arriving at the end of his set, the musician sings a few lines from “Don’t let me go” – a song by his patron that is the focus of the evening: t-low. And then: During the break, the two setlist pages are replaced by five setlist pages.
The big entrance: modest rather than spectacular
After almost an hour and 15 minutes, the smoke machine is running, the drum pad on the drums is lit and the actual show begins at 9:15 p.m., which has already been announced by the large “REAL MUSIC” banner on the back of the stage. The electric guitar melody from the intro of “Sorry Mama” sounds, t-low begins to sing the first lines from the off and then walks casually and relaxed onto the stage in the sparse black and white light. This performance is different, more modest and more personal than you know from other rap concerts, where the rapper’s ego first has to be polished through a spectacular performance, falling curtain, DJ sirens and screaming fans (I won’t name any names).
t-low performed his song “Addiction”:
Mosh pit and lights: 80 intense minutes
After the first two songs, the rapper starts an awareness call and points out people to contact if someone feels uncomfortable. He would then immediately interrupt – a promise that he actually has to fulfill several times, because the Kesselhaus in the Kulturbrauerei proves to be challenging for the systems of some young fans.
In the next 80 minutes, t-low plays a total of 22 songs including an encore. He creates a mix of classics and his latest songs, a quieter and demolition mood. With hits like “Crashen” there are mosh pits, with more soulful songs like “Paranoid” there are sing-alongs and lights. Before “6Drinks,” the rapper talks about his personal crisis surrounding making music. He almost decided to quit before he met his two bandmates Julien and Mary, who produced the new album with him, says t-low.

More than mixtapes
In an interview with Aria Nejati, the rapper recently reported that his previous albums were more like mixtapes and that there was now more thought and music production behind REAL MUSIC. His lyrics on the new album are also a lot about heartbreak, love and drugs, but the 24-year-old opens up other sides. He also promises this in his interlude “Loner”, which can also be heard this evening between two songs: “I have a lot more to say. I want to speak to people who are Loner, just like me. Sometimes getting up is too difficult, too depressed to clean up. You are not alone.” The audience’s reactions show that the rapper speaks from the hearts of many people.
In an interview with Aria Nejati:
Studio rapper as live artist
t-low’s new path can also be seen live: In the past, a lot of people gathered on stage at t-low concerts. The mixing desk was overflowing with bottles of alcohol, people were smoking, smoking weed and filming. Completely different in 2026. In addition to the rapper, a guitarist and a drummer are on stage with the “We Made It” star. t-low seems calm, sober, grateful and can actually develop a previously unseen live talent. He sings and raps all the lyrics to his songs live and on point. In doing so, he beats even the loudest critical voices that called him the “Corona Studio Rapper” in 2021. The times when the Itzehoer slurs drunkenly into the microphone and has to rely on autotune and playback, as he did on his last “Life is a Highway Tour”, are also over.
Conclusion: A new beginning that convinces
After the encore “Sehnsucht” the audience can leave the hall exhausted. Overall, a more than successful concert that is worthy of the musician’s new intentions. He shows lyrical depth, his rap skills and demonstrates live talent. Please keep it up t-low, we were all worried about you.
