Synchronized swimmer Bleyer fifth again

Synchronized swimmer Klara Bleyer also took fifth place in the solo final of the free program at the World Championships in Doha.

The 19-year-old from Bochum scored 230.8894 points and achieved the best German World Championship result in this discipline in 17 years – since 2007, the free and technical freestyle at the World Championships have been held as two separate competitions.

On Saturday, Bleyer had already secured fifth place in the technical freestyle, the best German result in this discipline in the history of the World Cup.

Canada’s Jacqueline Simoneau (264.8207 points) won gold in the free skate on Tuesday ahead of Greece’s Evangelia Platanioto (253.2833) and Belarus’ Wasilina Chandoschka, who is listed as a neutral athlete (245.1042).
