The Swiss rejected a 50 percent federal inheritance tax for the ultra-rich in a referendum on Sunday. About 79 percent have rejected the proposal. That was also in line with expectations. Many Swiss people and the government feared an exodus of the wealthy, which would ultimately lead to less tax revenue.
