Solo European champion Klara Bleyer started promising to her historical World Cup mission in Singapore.

The 21-year-old from Bochum moved into the final of the technical freestyle as a fifth and thus underpinned her hopes for the very first German World Cup medal in synchronized swimming. With 250,2750 points, Bleyer was only a good three points behind third place.

Only the Chinese favorite Xu Huiyan, the Belarusin Wassilina Chandoschka, the Spaniard Iris Tió Casas and the Austrian Vasiliki Alexandri started under a neutral flag on Friday were better. The decision is made on Saturday (12.30 p.m. CET).

Bleyer is expecting her greatest chances in the free freestyle next Tuesday, in which she had crowned Madeira for the first European solo European champion in June. In addition, the World Cup winner starts with her club colleague Amélie Blumenthal HaZ in the duet and in the team.
