Soon there will be songs by Eurythmics live again. Dave Stewart, the songwriter and producer of the duo, will bring classics like “Sweet Dreams” or “Here Comes the Rain Again” to the stage with his band. Despite many speculations, singer Annie Lennox will not be there.

It was in 1999 that Eurythmics disbanded after a long and successful career. However, the legacy of the synthpop pioneers remains unforgotten, which is why the duo was also inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2022. Now, twenty years after their last live performance, Eurythmics songs will be heard live again.
Dave Stewart, who as a multi-instrumentalist was responsible for many of the big hits, will play three concerts in Germany on the “Eurythmics Songbook: Sweet Dreams – 40th Anniversary” tour. Among the musicians in his live ensemble is Stewart’s daughter Kaya, who, according to him, has been able to sing all Eurythmics songs by heart since she was a child.
However, fans have to do without the unique voice of 80s icon Annie Lennox. With the exception of one performance at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Lennox has announced her retirement from live performances. However, she gave her ex-colleague Dave Stewart the blessing for the upcoming tour. Of these, Stewart revealed: “I love playing live shows. And I’m really looking forward to performing with this incredible group of musicians and vocalists. […] The choice of an extraordinary band of female musicians, led by the genius of keyboardist Hannah Koppenburg, is a tribute to my outstanding friend and collaborator Annie Lennox.”

Presale tickets are also over ticketmaster also available from September 6th, 5 p.m. The general advance sale starts on September 8th at 12 noon live nation. Ticket prices are not yet known.
