The 2018 Olympic relay champion made the impending birth public on social media in January and expressed concern that the baby could be born before the end of the season. But the youngsters took enough time and probably gave Nelin a conciliatory end to the season. Because the Swede only finished the winter in 22nd place in the overall World Cup.
Nelin also hinted at physical problems: “I’m going home and getting myself checked. There’s something wrong with my body,” said the 2024 world champion in the “Expressen” interview. “I don’t think I’ve ever had a feeling like that before.” At this year’s Olympic Games he won bronze in the relay.
