There was a very special road user walking around on the Kasteel-Traverse in Helmond on Saturday. A swan caused a traffic jam on the viaduct. The animal was eventually taken to a safe place by animal ambulance.
The police officers in the center of Helmond saw the swan on the road in the afternoon. “This one settled here and thought it was fine there,” they write on Instagram. “After a while the swan continued its way along the cycle path in the direction of Eindhoven.”
The swan took a break near Theater het Speelhuis. An animal ambulance employee was able to catch him there. In the ambulance, the swan, together with a previously found seagull, was allowed to go to a quieter place to spend their Saturday evening.
