Swedish musician Svenne Hedlund has died.

Hep Stars band Svenne Hedlund has died at the age of 77. Hedlund died on Saturday morning in Värnamo hospital.
Hedlund had contracted the coronavirus just earlier in the fall.
– He was hospitalized for a while at that time, got better a little, but he didn’t fully recover. On Wednesday, he was hospitalized again, a musician and Hedlund’s friend Ulf Stjernbo told Aftonbladet
Stjernbo and Hedlund worked together for more than 50 years.
– Svenne was really kind and considerate of others.
Hedlund had a remarkably long career in the music world. He was the frontman of Hep Stras, founded in the 60s. Hep Stars also had an effect for a while Benny Anderssonwho later went on to join the Abba group.
– Svenne was Sweden’s biggest pop idol in the 60s. He was definitely the most popular pop figure, Abban Björn Ulvaeus said after passing away on TV4’s morning show.
Hep Stars was Sweden’s most popular band in the 60s. The song it plays Cadillac was a hit in Finland as well and the band also toured in Finland. The group’s other hits include, among others Tribute to Buddy Holly and Farmer John.
Hedlund was supposed to continue touring in December.
Hep Stars’ Lelle Hegland died in the spring.
