SV Darmstadt 98 announces million-dollar loss

Bundesliga soccer team Darmstadt 98 made a loss of 1.22 million euros after taxes in its 2022/23 promotion season.

“The loss is actually related to the promotion,” said President Rüdiger Fritsch on Monday at the Lilien’s general meeting: “A promotion is a great success, bonuses are paid accordingly. Without promotion we would have recorded a profit, but that is clear to me Dear.”

The Darmstadt-based company’s total sales were 35.3 million euros, and its equity as of July 30, 2022 was 17.11 million euros.

“Our common task is to never lose sight of the big picture, regardless of matchday results and other current issues that arise,” explained Fritsch: “In the future, as club managers, we have set ourselves the goal of continuing to develop the club holistically.”
