Sustainable Upgrade & Connecting Generations

MAC presents a SUSTAINABLE UPGRADE with its autumn/winter 2023/24 menswear collection.

The pants made of innovative and sustainable materials are masculine and casual, but at the same time they are cleaner and more elegant than in previous years. With the current HAKA collection, the designers from MAC have succeeded in combining new qualities, casual styles and the usual high fashion standards – and thus also generations! Simon Khasani – Creative Director MAC Menswear – puts it in a nutshell: “RE-DESIGNING DENIM-TRADITIONS – CONNECTING GENERATIONS!”

The range of wide (TRAVIS) and straight (KIRK) styles will be expanded in autumn/winter 2023/24. The casual fit is mainly to be found in the denim area, also in extra length. Pleats ensure casual chic with the wide looks. All-over prints, hip pockets in a retro shape and vintage washes spread a “good old days” feeling. In addition, the variety of different shapes is expanded by O-Shapes (TAYLOR) and commercial tapered fits (GREG). Classic MAC styles such as ARNE and BEN should not be missing from the repertoire.

Cargo trousers are an important trend theme this season. Workwear details are shown in many facets and in different forms. Attached zips, cleverly placed pockets in different sizes and eye-catching seams give the pants a casual look.

An absolute highlight of the A/W 2023/24 menswear collection are the cashmere denim jeans. This high-quality and innovative quality is completely biodegradable. The handle is pleasantly soft and thus offers a high level of comfort. The pants with cashmere content are available in three different, modern washes. An additional special feature of these styles are buttons made from the natural raw material of the corozo.

Through the increasing use of renewable, sustainable materials, MAC once again demonstrates its continuous path “From Blue to Green”. Qualities such as Tencel, recycled and reused cotton and polyester have long been standard at MAC. Innovative denims with hemp or bamboo fibers can also be found in the new collections.

A major focus is also on the certified “Circular Denim”: for this purpose, jeans that have already been worn are 100% recycled. Each step in the production chain takes place within a maximum radius of 60 km. The recycled fibers from the old trousers are spun with particularly long-staple, pesticide-free organic cotton fibers sourced exclusively from Spain and Greece. This mixture creates an extraordinary feel. Thanks to the elaborate, Italian washes, the jeans get their sophisticated look.

There is also news in the field of ULTIMATE DRIVERS JEANS. Here MAC uses a new type of denim that is made from 100% organic cotton. Its robust streaky look makes this vintage denim look particularly masculine and authentic. In addition to the usual high wearing comfort and unrestricted freedom of movement, these styles are the best example of sustainability.

In the flat-weave segment, the focus is increasingly on flannel looks with real wool. Sporty models get a chic upgrade with these noble-looking fabrics. Technical qualities can also be found in the collection. These give the pants a clean and at the same time elegant look.

Corduroy will once again play a major role in Autumn / Winter 2023 / 24 – from wide corduroy to double-cut fine corduroy to flocked jog’n jeans, everything can be found. Refined details, such as workwear elements, loosen up the classic styles. The highlight at MAC is the corduroy pants “Made in Germany” (LENNOX SPORT). All materials and ingredients used are sourced exclusively from Germany and the entire production process is transparent and handled nationally.

MAC is also increasingly focusing on sustainability when it comes to ingredients. The range of nature-conscious accessories in the current collection is expanded with patches made from innovative materials such as corn and apple leather, as well as labels made from hemp and the corozo button.

The fact that sustainably produced trousers are at the forefront of fashion is not only evident in the materials and trimmings, but also in the varied range of colours. Natural tones are reinterpreted, the language of colors remains loud but not gaudy. Red tones in all shades, up to and including plum, give the looks in autumn/winter 2023/24 a classy touch. Dark shades of green and rich brown play a major role. Monochrome looks are shown in gray nuances from greige through light and medium gray to anthracite. Classic black and dark washes remain important, primarily for casual models. Shades of blue from turquoise to petrol complement the color palette. Minimal prints can be found on a wide variety of qualities, e.g. B. also at JOG’N JEANS. Denims with a “used look” conjure up a rocking attitude, but are much tidier than in the previous season.

“50 YEARS AND GOOD TIMES – to remind an celebrate” – according to this motto, MAC will celebrate its 50th company anniversary in 2023. Based on the original logo, the designers repeatedly use the typical “MAC orange” in the collection. Accents are set in the anniversary color from seams/quilting, patches and buttons to the hang tags.

The trend theme “Cargo” also plays a role in the autumn/winter collection 2023/24 with the MAC ULTIMATE DRIVER PANTS. The best-selling pants are considered the benchmark in terms of design and functionality. It’s about sustainable materials, environmentally friendly production techniques and long-lasting quality. The MACFLEXX with a straight cut and made of hard-wearing denim stands for a perfect fit and maximum wearing comfort. Just like the ULTIMATE DRIVER CHINO with up to 80% elasticity. Now, as a new highlight, the DRIVER CARGO with workwear elements joins the ULTIMATE family.
