Keyboardist of the Litku Klemetti band Susu Ketola34, opens Apu magazine in an interview about his experiences from the stabbing that happened in July in Ratina.
Ketola was shopping in Ratina and decided to go home on an electric scooter. When he tried to start the kickboard, the perpetrator attacked him.
He felt a hard blow on his shoulder, then everything slowed down, and at first he didn’t realize he had been stabbed.
After that, the man stabbed him again with a knife in the side, arm and back of the hand. The man stabbed him five times in total.
– He hit it really deep into his right palm. It was all over quickly. The wounds started to bleed profusely and I started shouting, “Call 112! I’ve been stabbed”, Ketola recalls.
The attack has left deep traces in Ketola’s life. The musician, who used to move freely in the city, is now afraid to leave his home and feels that he has lost his sense of security and his freedom.
– Sometimes I pinch myself, is this all true? Was there really an attempt to assassinate me? I’m asking if this movie could end already and the old life could continue. My life was supposed to be full of happy and funny things. I was a musician and I played nice gigs, Ketola says in an interview.
Ketola was supposed to perform with Litku Klemet at Ruisrock in Turku the day after the stabbing, but because of what happened, she couldn’t make it.

Sussu Ketola is the daughter of troubadour musician Markku Ketola. He described his feelings to Iltalehti after the attack on his daughter.
– As a musician, I understand the situation if certain body parts are in bad shape.
– It’s a sad and nerve-wracking thing. How can something like this suddenly happen in Tampere? father wondered.
A 23-year-old man stabbed three women and one man in front of the Ratina shopping center on July 3. All victims suffered serious injuries that required hospital treatment. The perpetrator was arrested very soon after the stabbing at the scene.
The man is suspected of four attempted murders. It has also turned out that the perpetrator may have been planning the act for years.
