The duo who were arrested on Friday for possible involvement in a burglary at a daycare center in Emmen are suspected of seven other burglaries. The pair, a 37-year-old man from the municipality of Hardenberg and a 27-year-old woman from Emmen, are still in custody and are being interrogated.
The man and the woman were arrested on Friday because of their involvement in a burglary at a residence at Hooggoorns earlier that day. Research has made it clear that the duo can most likely also be linked to a series of other burglaries.
Mainly companies were the target of the burglaries, where various items were stolen from addresses in Emmen, Klazienaveen, Erica and Hardenberg in the period between January 13 and February 23. Two vehicles, several tablets and keys were taken.
