The custody of the 22-year-old man who was arrested for the murder of 17-year-old Lisa from Abcoude has been extended. The court in Amsterdam late on X Knowing that the suspect was brought before the examining magistrate on Monday and will stay in jail for at least two weeks longer.

Lisa was murdered in Duivendrecht in the night of 19 to 20 August, when she cycled back home after a nightlife evening in Amsterdam. In addition to the murder of Lisa, it suspects the 22-year-old man of two other crimes: a serious sexual crime a few days earlier on the Weesperzijde in Amsterdam, and an attempt at sexual violence on 10 August. At the death of Lisa, the police found no indications of sexual violence.

The suspect was brought before the murder and rape today, not yet before the incident on 10 August. According to the authorities, it is possible that other victims will report.

The suspect stayed in an asylum seekers’ center in Amsterdam. The police have not yet confirmed what nationality the man has, because there is no complete clarity about it yet.
