The deceased woman who was found last night in a parking lot next to the station in Nieuw-Vennep is a 59-year-old woman from the municipality of Haarlemmermeer. The police just announced this.
It is now known that the victim worked at ABN Amro. A colleague of hers was found dead last week in a home in Amsterdam South. The police are still investigating the cause of this woman’s death.
According to the police, a witness saw a man cycling conspicuously in circles in the parking lot on Venneperweg before the report. After intensive investigation, the police arrested a suspect in Nieuw-Vennep this afternoon. This concerns a 36-year-old man without a permanent place of residence. The suspect is being held for questioning. The police suspect the man of killing the victim.
