Inflation returns to the top of the worry map. According to the national survey of the consulting firm Management & Fit carried out between April 13 and 27 on 2,200 weighted cases, 28.3% of Argentines identify price and tariff increases as the country’s main problemrising 5.5 points compared to February. They are followed, more than 12 points behind, by corruption (15.9%) and unemployment (15.4%).

On a personal level, the data is even more compelling: 77.1% of the concerns mentioned are economic in nature. Difficulty making ends meet leads with 25.2%, followed by low income with 20.3%. Family difficulties in covering expenses went from 49.1% in February to 55.1% in Apriland 22.4% declare that they can no longer directly face their economic situation.

The general outlook for the country worsened

The positive evaluation of the economic and social situation of the country fell 11.9 points in two months, going from 27.3% to 15.4%. The negative view rose to 54.9%. and for first time since the beginning of Milei’s managementthe negative outlook on the future exceeds the expectation of improvement: only 33.9% believe that the country will be better within a year, a drop of 8.6 points.

The feelings generated by the country’s situation are eloquent: concern and distrust lead with 28.1%, sadness reaches 21.9%. Negative feelings double the positive ones: 65.6% versus 31.9%.

Milei’s approval in free fall

The national discharge level fell to 37.2%, the lowest point since Milei became presidentdropping 9.6 points compared to February. Disapproval rose to 54.3%. Trust in the government also collapsed: from 46.5% in February to 38.9% in April. If the elections were today, 51.6% would vote for a total change policy and management team.

The scandals weigh

The survey also measured the impact of cases that dominated the political agenda. He 55.1% believe that Adorni should resign after the judicial accusations, and an additional 23.6% ask that they take leave. Regarding the $LIBRA case, 59% attribute responsibility to the president or his entourage, and 64.9% consider that Milei had a lot or some responsibility. Regarding mortgage loans from Banco Nación granted to officials, 67.4% describe it as an act of corruption or privilege. As a consequence, 6 out of 10 respondents declare that these events decreased their trust in the Government.
