Surprised Telstar coach Landvreugd misses Snoei and now wants to see bravado

A sad week at Telstar. The club from Velsen-Zuid fired its coach Mike Snoei a few days ago. It is now clear that assistant coaches Anthony Correia and Ulrich Landvreugd will take over until the summer. The latter told his story. “Quite surprised and I miss him.”

“Personally, I found Mike Snoei’s dismissal difficult,” says a candid Ulrich Landvreugd. As an assistant, he got along well with Snoei and had to think about finishing the season together with Anthony Correia. “I am also loyal to the club and you ask yourself whether you can turn the tide at Telstar.”

Changes

After some deliberation, Landvreugd and Correia decided to take on this challenge together. Landvreugd leaves it unclear what changes the duo will make. “Football is about details and we have to give the players more bravado again.”

Mentality change

Between the lines, Landvreugd shows that the mentality could be tightened up a bit. “Players must comply better with agreements outside and on the field.” Sometimes some players arrive late. In addition, it looks like Telstar will play against Helmond Sport in a different system tomorrow evening. Although Landvreugd did not want to confirm that.

The Telstar – Helmond Sport match can be followed live on NH Radio. The sports broadcast starts at 7 p.m.

“We want to entertain the audience and not be outplayed,” Landvreugd refers, among other things, to the punishment last weekend in Maastricht. The White Lions lost 6-1 against MVV. “We now have to take it week by week and get the group together.” The new person ultimately responsible for Telstar does not want to say anything about objectives and ambitions in the fourth and final period.
