The Superior Health Council (SHC) wants better protection of young people when using screens and social media in particular. In certain cases, its use can be harmful to their physical and mental health. That is why the health council advocates limiting access to social media for children under the age of 13. Cieltje Van Achter, the Flemish Minister of Media, thinks this age limit is justified.
