Supreme Court dismisses Trump’s petition for battle over top secret documents

The former US president has suffered a legal defeat in the battle over classified documents seized during a search of Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate. The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed an urgent request from the ex-president. His lawyers last week asked the Supreme Court to grant a so-called ‘special master’ access to the classified documents.
