At the Monza Arena Cisterna wins in the first advance of the 6th day, while Trento goes to Cuneo and wins a 3-1 victory.

MONZA-CISTERNA 2-3 (18-25, 25-18, 25-23, 21-25, 13-15)

At the end of a marathon that lasted 2 hours and 18 minutes, an invasion decided the match between Monza and Cisterna, with the guests reaching the Brianza team in the standings thanks to their second success at the tie break (the first away). But the final decision sparked quite a few discussions, and the Lombard club announced an official appeal against the referee’s choice. Monza first goes under, then takes a 2-1 lead but in the end it is the video check that assigns the 15-13 to Cisterna; a disputed ball awarded to the Pontini after the television review was decisive. For Cisterna, an insurmountable wall and Guzzo’s 23 points with 50 percent in attack were fundamental, while Rohrs and Padar (40 balls landed between them) were not enough in Monza to bring home the victory.

Monza: Rohrs 21 points. Team Ace: 7. Team Blocks: 8. Mosca 3 blocks.

Tank: Guzzo 23 points. Team Aces: 8. Team Blocks: 15. Plak 3 aces. Mazzone 6 walls, Guzzo 4 walls.

CUNEO-TRENTO 1-3 (25-21, 18-25, 19-25, 23-25)

For Cuneo it’s a remake of last week: he approaches the match better and takes the lead, but then has to suffer a comeback from his opponents. For Trento, however, it’s the exact opposite, they find themselves below but put the arrow on the line and gain full spoils, obtaining three points which bring them closer to the group of the best. The usual Michieletto was decisive, as is now customary, for the second time in the season above 20 points. Mendez also finds answers from the centre, replacing a struggling Torwie with Bartha (while Flavio remains a fixed point), Cuneo tries with all the high ball attackers but the Feral-Sedlacek-Zaytsev trio makes a few too many mistakes especially with the first two.

Wedge: Feral 18 points. Team Ace: 1. Team Blocks: 1.

Trent: Michieletto 21 points. Team Aces: 3. Team Blocks: 7. Ramon 3 aces.
