Canada’s swimming star has struck again: Summer Mcintosh has set up three new world records within five days.

The Canadian exceptional swimmer Summer Mcintosh has set up her third world record within five days. The three -time Olympic champion of Paris struck Victoria, Canada, over 400 meters after 4: 23.65 minutes. The 18-year-old thus improved her own record from the previous year by 73 hundredths of a second.

Previously, Mcintosh set up a new world’s best over 200 meters at the Canadian trials. In 2: 05.70 minutes she remained well below the previous record by Katinka Hosszú on Monday (local time). The Hungarian had set up the record in 2015 in 2: 06.12 minutes. Mcintosh was also able to cheer over 400 meters freestyle (3: 54.18 minutes).

She is one of the big favorites for several titles at the World Championships at the end of July and early August in Singapore. The title fights take place from July 11th to August 3. “That gives me a lot of confidence for Singapore,” said Mcintosh.

“I knew that I can achieve something special this evening (Wednesday, editor’s note) because I had the best competition of my career so far,” said the 18-year-old, who also came close to the record of Katie Ledecky on Sunday: “World records are there to be broken. If I stop with this sport, I would like to be sure that this record is as quick as possible.”
