RKAV Volendam has not yet lost in the second phase of the competition. It drew twice and won five times. Volendam certainly did not want to lose this undefeated status against HZV and that is why they started the second half strongly.
Hard free kick
HZV often tried to attack, but was bitten by the extremely solid defending Volendam. The biggest opportunities were therefore for Volendam, which ultimately only had to be on guard against HZV’s counterattack from time to time.
At the end of the match, Volendam received an easily given free kick, which was hit very hard by Erwin Smajic: 3-1. HZV could not recover from this blow.
