The initial substitution of Jonathan Viera was the first big news of a match in which two serious errors led to the score moving.

The locals went ahead in a corner kick by Sandro Ramírez from the left that goalkeeper Luca Zidane miscalculated on his way out, and Álex Suárez connected the ball with his right leg, in a difficult shot, to lodge it in the net.

The yellow joy was short-lived, just two minutes, which took Eric Curbelo to return the courtesy. The center-back tried to prevent the ball from going over the baseline and handed it back to Quique González, who served José Corpas so that, after a reverse, he placed it in the top corner.

This much made a dent in an island group that did not find the ways to overcome the 1-5-2-3 posed by the gunsmith teamwho also did not know how to finish several transitions in which he had superiority, but in which he decided poorly.

After the break the match continued very balanced and, with half an hour to go, Jonathan Viera jumped onto the field to try to unblock itbut this time the yellow captain was not the solution.

A shot to the crossbar by Alberto Moleiro in the 82nd minute, and a subsequent play by Viera himself that Rober Correa took under the sticks, five minutes later, were the best options in the second half for a Unión Deportiva that has only added one point in the two consecutive games played at home this week, although at least it helps them climb to the direct promotion zone.
