Suede, the band that has virtually invented the Britpop, is on tour with their new album “Antidepressants”. On March 9th they will play in the Berlin Uber Eats Music Hall.

At the beginning of the 1990s, Suede conquered the charts and hearts of the English: inside: With their first singles “The Drowns” (1992), “Animal Nitrate” (1993) and their debut album “Suede” (1993) of the same name, they were quickly celebrated as a pioneer of British rock. Finally, the term “Britpop” finally established itself as a separate genre.
Founded in 1981 by Brett Anderson and Cat Osman, dissolved in 2003 and re -established in 2013 at the latest, the rock band is one of the most established sizes of the music scene. At their early days, they were compared to artists such as David Bowie or The Smiths and the band was quickly considered a favorite on the English peninsula before storming the British and international charts with their third studio album “Coming Up” (1996).
After her separation in 2003, Brett Anderson tried in vain with solo projects until the band gradually began playing a few live shows and ultimately celebrated their return ten years later with “Bloodsports”.
Back in the business: New album and tour
Since then, Suede has published four other albums. Now her tenth plate “antidepressants” appeared on September 5th. According to their own statements, the post-post-punk album of the Britpop sizes provides “broken music for broken people”. Her single “Dancing with the Europeans” is about the search for connections in a alienated world. However, her sound is still the same, dynamic-loving, as with Suedes.
With the new album, the band also celebrates their return to the stages of European concert halls. After three years of live break, Suede comes back with her “Dancing with the European” tour. In January 2026 you will start in Great Britain before the band will head for further places in Europe in March.
