Eintracht Frankfurt is close to signing center forward Sasa Kalajdzic. The Austrian is still on duty in the evening and is scheduled to provide emergency aid. He shouldn’t remain the only reinforcement.
Eintracht Frankfurt has found a successor to Randal Kolo Muani and is about to sign Sasa Kalajdzic. His advisor Sascha Empacher confirmed this to hr-sport on Friday morning: “It looks good.”
Kalajdzic should already be there against Leipzig
Hesse’s dream striker, who is under contract with Wolverhampton Wanderers and will be in action in the FA Cup at FC Brentford on Friday evening, should therefore fly to Frankfurt as soon as possible and be an option for the Bundesliga opener against RB Leipzig next week.
The 26-year-old, who still has to complete the medical check, will initially move to Eintracht on loan. It is currently not known whether sports director Markus Krösche has negotiated a purchase option.
Another striker planned
In addition to Kalajdzic, who will be at the forefront of the attack and initially replace Omar Marmoush, who is at the Africa Cup, the Hessians are, according to information from hr-sport, still working on another transfer for the attack.
While the Austrian is planned as immediate help, squad planner Krösche is still looking for a slightly more agile type of player with perspective.
Ekitike continues to be a topic
Hugo Ekitike from Paris St. Germain is still a hot candidate. The 21-year-old does not play in the French star ensemble and would therefore be a typical Eintracht transfer. Young, talented and with a lot of development potential. The only catch: The Parisians’ transfer demands are currently still too high. However, since Eintracht are in no hurry to get their number two striker behind Kalajdzic, there will not be a hasty solution and there may only be a decision at the end of January.
Sports director Krösche is said to have a total of four to five players on the list. Even a commitment from Rafiu Durosinmi is not completely ruled out.
