Since 2003, THSV Eisenach has not been able to win against TBV Lemgo-Lippe. This horror series has now been torn – thanks to the usual suspects.

The THSV Eisenach celebrated a successful start to the second half of the season and conquered the TBV Lemgo-Lippe in its own hall with 34:31 (14:14). After a mixed start, the team of Coach Misha Kaufmann fought into the game and convinced, especially after the break, with an aggressive defensive and the resulting fast degrees. The best goal scorers were Marko Grgic and Simone Mengon with ten goals each, Matija Spikic showed 13 parades. The most accurate Lemgoer was Samuel Zehnder with eight goals.

Furious start in round two

But the guests from East Westphalia could not be shaken off, came back into the game and shortened to 21:22 with another 17 minutes on the clock. Another intervention from the outside was necessary. Kaufmann pulled his timeout, calmed down the nerves of his players and re -established the focus for the final phase. Eisenach came out of the break with two quick goals and played down the rest of the game confidently. With this victory, the THSV overtakes today’s opponent and climbs to eighth place.
