Successful graduates in the spotlight: TH Lübeck celebrates the opening of the BAUFORUM.Profile exhibition

With over 100 works, the exhibition offers a broad insight into the achievements of the graduates. Around 200 guests from companies, politics, friends and family came together in the TH Lübeck construction forum to honor the impressive achievements of the graduates.

Standing still is not an option

The President of the TH Lübeck, Dr. In her speech, Muriel Helbig emphasized the importance of graduates as important specialists, especially against the background of global challenges such as climate change. Helbig emphasized the need to establish innovative courses such as the planned master’s degree in sustainable building technology in order to meet growing requirements. We need strong degree programs at strong locations. The domestic German competition also affects us. We can’t stand still and we don’t want to stand still. A concept for a master’s degree in sustainable building technology has been around for a long time and we need this course of study!Helbig appeals to Joschka Knuth, State Secretary in the Ministry for Energy Transition, Climate Protection, Environment and Nature.

Students important professionals

The message had arrived and was being taken to the ministry. Knuth sensitized the guests to actively help shape society: My geographer’s heart beats faster when I see the works on display here. Transformations such as the heat transition would not be possible if there were not graduates like those from TH Lübeck. I am very pleased that you all chose Schleswig-Holstein as a place to study.
Lina Langhammer, among others, spoke to the guests from the student body and thanked everyone who supported her in challenging times.

The hot topic of the evening: asphalt

Special achievements were also recognized. Peter Bender from the Association of Road Construction and Traffic Engineers in Schleswig-Holstein e. V. presented prizes for outstanding theses to Niklas Utech (FH Kiel, 1st place) and Antonia Röhl and Lewe Heutmann (both TH Lübeck, 2nd place). The work was of such good quality that we had to award two second places and were happy to do so. – even though all of the works deal with asphalt topicssaid Bender.

Life is a roller coaster ride

The dean of the department ConstructionProf. Sebastian Fiedler gave the graduates: Challenges await you that can seem like a roller coaster ride at times. Don’t just stick to what you’re used to, but help implement new solutions so that the wagons stay on track.
The ceremonial event was musically accompanied by the vocal ensemble CANTA girls’ choir of the non-profit organization under the direction of Elena Pavlova.
