Successful baseball-clubs HCAW and Pirates compete against each other for a spot in the European Cup final

It is slowly becoming an excellent baseball week for HCAW and Amsterdam Pirates. Both teams advanced to the semi-finals of the European Cup on Thursday evening. In it, the two North Holland baseball teams meet each other with a place in the final at stake.

For HCAW, the semi-final was almost certain. The team from Bussum had already won the first two group matches. However, the last game was lost against Bonn Capitals. At the Rob Hoffmann Valley, the Germans won 5-2 against HCAW. As a result, the Germans continue as number two and the Bussumers are group winners.

For Amsterdam Pirates, it was exciting whether they would continue. The team from Amsterdam initially had to win themselves and then they were dependent on the other result. Pirates won convincingly, as it was 15-0 too strong for Untouchables Paderborn. Because Parma won against Draci Brno, the North Hollanders are second in the group.

In the semi-finals, HCAW and Amsterdam Pirates will face each other. That means that at least one North Holland baseball club will be in the final of the European Cup. The other semi-final is between Parma and Bonn Capitals. At 7 PM, HCAW and Pirates play against each other in Bussum for a spot in the final.
