Technology helps to let people with a work disability participate in the labor market. State Secretary Jurgen Nobel (Participation and Integration) makes a subsidy available to SMEs who want to work on this at the request of the Lower House.

For example, it is about reading glasses for people who are blind or visually impaired. Or an exoskeleton that relieves people when doing physical work. “The more entrepreneurs embrace such technological applications, the more people with a disability can participate. I want to support companies,” says Nobel.

Inclusive technology

Employers in SMEs can apply for a subsidy for half of the total amount they invest in inclusive technology for their employees. The subsidy scheme was drawn up in response to a proposal from Member of Parliament Daan de Kort (VVD). The maximum subsidy amount per company is € 25,000. In total, € 2 million is available.

To request

SME companies can submit requests from 1 October 2025 via Subsidy Inclusive Technology.
